Top TV magician stars in new Noel Clarke film

Following on from his role in English period drama Mr Selfridge, Ali Cook stars in Sci fi action thriller The Anomaly alongside Ian Somerhalder (The Vampire diaries), Luke Hemsworth (Neighbours) and Alexis Knapp (Ground Floor).

Cook plays "Agent Travis" an American secret service agent hell bent on finding the truth at any cost alongside his partner Agent Elkin, played by Hemsworth. Directed by the BAFTA winning actor Noel Clarke, Universal Pictures have bought the worldwide rights and the movie is in cinemas on the 4th July.

The Anomaly tells the story of a former soldier who is taken captive and awakens in the back of a van to learn he only has a few moments to figure out how he got there. It's a unique concept set in the near future that explores the idea of mind control.

As an award winning magician and one of the stars of ‘Penn and Teller: Fool us’ (ITV1) Ali Cook has shocked and amazed us with his unique blend of highly inventive original magic tricks.

Ali, a Silver Star associate member of the Inner Magic Circle, received nightly standing ovations for his show ‘Principles & Deceptions’ with a unique approach and performances of large-scale illusions. His irreverent style and acclaimed sleight-of-hand have made him one of the pioneers of the alternative magic scene. As a result, he has an array of famous fans and has performed at private parties for Damien Hirst, JK Rowling, Minnie Driver and Basement Jaxx, as well as premiere parties for movies including the ‘Harry Potter’ series amongst others.
