Vanessa Hudgens: Lorde blew my mind

Lorde and Vanessa Hudgens are fan-girling over each other.

The 17-year-old Royals singer has been hot news ever since she hit the charts last year and performed to a star-studded audience at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles last night.

In the crowd was actress Vanessa, who took to Instagram to congratulate the singer on her performance.

@lordemusic this is me. After you. Tonight at the Greek. #mindblown #incredible #amazingmusician #allthingsgood (sic)," she wrote, adding a picture of Jackie Chan looking overwhelmed with the words "mind = blown".

Lorde was quick to thank the 25-year-old for her kind words.

"@VanessaHudgens that's awesome thanks for coming!! i loved spring breakers :~) (sic)," she posted, referring to the 2012 coming-of-age drama Vanessa starred in.

And Vanessa isn't Lorde's only A-list pal. She's also close to Taylor Swift, who quoted lyrics from her track Shake It Off to compliment her friend on her famous curly locks.

"And to the Ella over there with the hella good hair...... (sic)," she wrote on Instagram, attaching a snap taken of Lorde - whose full name is Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor - after her show last night.

Taylor recently spoke out about how important good friends are. The 24-year-old likely appreciates having people like Lorde around who also have to cope with the stresses of fame.

"I call my friends a lot. I've gotten better at that over the years. Sometimes I have to go months without seeing my best friends and I have to remember to stay in touch,” she told E! Online.

“But most of my friends completely understand how busy life can get, and they'd never make me feel guilty if we haven't talked in a while. We just catch up on everything the next time we see each other.”
