Allison Williams has confessed she eats lots of “donuts and bagels” lately.

The 26-year-old actress stars in the upcoming NBC musical presentation of Peter Pan Live! which involves heavy physicality as she flies around in a harness. So in order to get the required energy intake, she has been snacking on the delicious baked goods.

"After all the flying workout, I'm telling you I'm eating donuts a lot and bagels and everything sinful and it's never enough to keep me fueled," she told Entertainment Tonight.

The title role sees the Girls star flying around the stage in a Peter Pan outfit. The show involves full theatrics as it plays out like a real musical production.

"It's just an unbelievable feeling," Allison said of the opportunity. "It's a total rush."

She admitted she has become quite used to living in the harness. But it hasn’t been without its drawbacks, as the actress has wound up with a few bumps and bruises.

"You get addicted to it, you get cocky and you stay in the harness for two long, and then you get saddle sore which is a very particular feeling," she went on. "I have bruises everywhere... but here's the thing, when you're playing a boy it's allowed. You can get beat up and it's totally fine."

Having grown up as a big fan of the chronicles of Peter Pan, Allison is excited about this job. She expressed what it means to her in a statement back in August regarding the casting announcement.

"I have wanted to play Peter Pan since I was about 3 years old, so this is a dream come true," she said.

Allison is joined by Minnie Driver, who narrates and plays the role of adult Wendy. Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are executive producing the show, which is set to air on December 4.
