Zooey Deschanel ‘puts the hammer down’

Zooey Deschanel “puts the hammer down on craziness”, according to Lamorne Morris.

Larmone stars alongside the 35-year-old actress on their TV sitcom New Girl.

Zooey gave birth to a baby girl in August and even though she may get up to some unruly shenanigans on TV, Lamorne doubts the star will allow her daughter to go buck wild in real life.

“She’s a great mum to us on set,” he gushed to People magazine. “She puts the hammer down on the craziness we do from time to time. She gives me advice on every aspect of my life. Family, finances…

“She’s very smart. Very healthy. She’ll teach her daughter how to eat right, that’s for sure.”

Although Lamorne knows the newborn’s name, he “can’t say” what the little girl is called.

But he absolutely can reveal how gorgeous the tot is, claiming she doesn’t seem to be taking much in the looks department from her father Jacob Pechenik.

“She’s an extremely cute baby. She looks like Zooey,” the 32-year-old actor noted.

“Two good-looking parents will make a good-looking kid. Unless there’s that one where you’re like, ‘Oh, you’re going to make a terrible child’. But that was not gonna happen with these two.'”

Zooey has long been a proponent of clean eating and she even featured on an episode of Bravo’s Top Chef Masters in the past, in which cooks were challenged to create vegan party food for the star and her guests.

So Lamorne thought it would be a great idea to buy something organic-friendly as a push gift.

“I got her a baby food maker,” he said. “She can make her own baby food and use her natural ingredients. I doubt she’s going out to buy that processed junk.”

In addition to welcoming a baby daughter, Zooey and her producer husband Jacob also secretly wed recently.
