Charlie Sheen reportedly spent around $100,000 on his engagement party.
The 48-year-old actor proposed to his ex-porn star girlfriend Brett Rossi in February during a romantic Valentine's break in Hawaii.
RadarOnline reports Charlie threw a lavish bash at his Beverly Hills mansion last weekend to celebrate, with guests including his fiancée's "friends and her family".
“Brett had been asking Charlie to throw a huge party for them celebrating their engagement, and he agreed to last weekend," a source explained.
“The party was absolutely stunning, and must have cost Charlie at least $100,000. The event was catered and a party planner was enlisted to take care of the details so Brett and Charlie could just enjoy the festivities.”
Charlie apparently told guests the wedding will be taking place within the next few months. It is thought he and Brett are simply waiting for their prenuptial agreement to be agreed upon before tying the knot.
Charlie's ex-wife Brooke Mueller, who he has been battling for custody of their five-year-old twin sons Bob and Max, is thought to be receiving an invite to the ceremony. It was recently reported she has been granted full custody of the boys, which apparently is more reason for the Two and a Half Men to request her attendance.
"[Charlie and Brett] both had the idea to invite Brooke to their wedding,” the insider added. “They all get along and are one big happy family. It might be unconventional for most people, but not for Charlie’s wacky world!
“Having Brooke at the wedding will also show the twins that they all get along... The twins are going to be a part of the wedding ceremony. Charlie and Brett are planning on giving them special gifts to make Bob and Max feel a part of their new family.”
Although things appear to be going well, Charlie's friends are thought to be concerned about how rushed his engagement is. Before Brooke he was married to Denise Richards, and prior to her he wed Donna Peele.
“Charlie has only known her since November, hardly enough time to get to know someone. Have a long engagement, but why rush into marriage. This will be Charlie’s fourth marriage, you would think he would have learned by now, but he hasn’t,” the source commented.
