Love Hewitt's 'laughing baby Buddha'

Jennifer Love Hewitt calls her first child “Happy Buddha”.

The Client List actress and her husband Brian Hallisay welcomed daughter Autumn last November.

And Jennifer is constantly in awe over how much joy her little girl brings into the world.

"She's going to be 8 months. She's just smiling and laughing all the time. We call her the Happy Buddha,” she gushed to Us Weekly magazine.

“She just is like constantly joyful, and it's just invigorating to your soul. And you suddenly go, 'Oh, my gosh, life is this really exciting thing!'"

Jennifer confesses motherhood doesn’t come without its moments of terror.

The 35-year-old says it seems as if she faces new self-confidence issues on a daily basis.

"You have nine months [to prepare] and you're terrified. You're like, 'There's not going to be any way that I can do this!'” she explained.

"There are still days when you wake up and you're like, 'I'm not going to be able to do this.' And then the day's over, and you're like, 'I did that! This is awesome! I can do it tomorrow.' And then you wake up, and you do it again. It's great."

Jennifer has exciting professional opportunities to look forward to, as Entertainment Weekly recently reported the star will return to work in the fall. She landed a series regular role on CBS crime drama Criminal Minds, about a team of specialised federal investigators.
