Christina Ricci ‘welcomes first child’

Christina Ricci and her husband James Heerdegen have reportedly welcomed their first child.

Speculation the couple were expecting first arose in May when the 34-year-old actress was seen walking through Los Angeles International Airport with a bump clearly on display.

And according Us Weekly, Christina and her beau are now parents to a baby boy. Insiders provided no other information about the birth to the outlet at press time and the Sleepy Hollow star’s publicist has not responded with an official comment.

Christina married James, who works as a dolly grip, in October 2013.

She met him on the set of her former show Pan Am, where he worked as a camera technician.

Before the couple officially tied the knot, Christina gushed to Us about her endless love for James.

"I love so many things about him. He's my favourite person on Earth," she said, noting children were "absolutely" a part of their future. "I can't wait to have our own little world replete with small beings!"

Married life clearly agrees with Christina, even though she previously admitted her taste in entertainment differs greatly from her husband’s. The star said she prefers watching very gritty TV programmes, and trashy reality TV - something James is not thrilled about.

"I'm obsessed with True Crime, the ID channel is my favourite thing ever. It's all crime shows, and really dramatic crimes shows!" she laughed to hosts Billy Bush and Kit Hoover previously.

"[James] thinks it's a little much at times. I think in the beginning he was like, 'That's interesting that you love this stuff' and then finally he was like, 'Can we please just change the channel' I can't watch another hour of this.'"
