Jennifer Lawrence is reportedly in talks to star in Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight.

The 24-year-old actress already has several trophies under her belt, having swooped up an Academy Award for Best Actress for her work in David O. Russell-directed film Silver Linings Playbook.

And it appears she has caught the attention of iconic filmmaker Quentin, as Collider is reporting he is interested in casting her for his new film The Hateful Eight.

According to the outlet, Jennifer’s negotiations may be in an advanced stage. The star is supposedly not on some sort of actress “wish-list”, but is actually the only person being considered for the role in question.

The website reports there is only one female member of The Hateful Eight gang itself in the - Daisy Domergue, aka ‘The Prisoner’. There is also a woman named Six Horse Judy in the screenplay, another character Collider surmises Jennifer might be vying for.

According to Deadline, Quentin announced at Comic-Con last month he would proceed with the western, despite originally claiming it was a no-go after the script was leaked.

Apparently the audience erupted into cheers when he made the announcement.

IMDB currently has the release date scheduled for next year, with Samuel L. Jackson and Bruce Dern as part of the cast.

The 51-year-old spoke out when the screenplay was leaked earlier this year. He even filed a lawsuit against Gawker about the incident, but it was ruled no copyright infringement took place.

"I'm very, very depressed," he said at the time. "I finished a script, a first draft, and I didn't mean to shoot it until next winter, a year from now. I gave it to six people, and apparently it's gotten out."
