Kristin Cavallari is finding it harder to cope with her second son.

The 27-year-old former reality star is married to football player Jay Cutler, and the pair are parents to two-year-old Camden and six-month-old Jax.

But Kristin admits she was somewhat unprepared for how different motherhood would be the second time around.

'They always say the second one is harder and that's very true,' Kristin told MailOnline.

Kristin revealed that it is Jax’s struggles with colic that has made things harder to deal with. Colic is defined as a prolonged period of crying, usually at night, in a baby who seems to be otherwise healthy.

“I was very colicy as a baby, so I guess Jax is a lot like me,” Kristin added.

“Jax is a little bit more difficult. But he is still the sweetest and the best. So it’s fine.”

Kristin has already regained her enviable pre-pregnancy figure, just six months after Jax’s birth.

But while Kristin has been hitting the gym as and when she can, she admits that time to focus on herself is becoming more difficult to find.

“I am very limited when it comes to time to myself,' Kristin said. “But honestly just sitting on the couch and having a minute alone is a luxury these days. It’s appreciated.”

Kristin previously revealed that she feels like she has grown so much as a person since becoming a mother.

“You just have so much more love in your life,” revealed in Line magazine’s Fall/Winter issue. “Motherhood really makes you realize what’s important in life and puts everything into perspective. It’s the hardest but most rewarding job.”
