Kris Jenner is reportedly adamant that Kim Kardashian can’t divorce Kanye West.
The 34-year-old reality star has already been married twice before; once to musician Damon Thomas and more recently to NBA star Kris Humphries for 72 days. But according to reports, her momager is warning another marriage dissolution would ruin her career.
It was claimed this week by Radar Online that the couple were already fighting, just six months after their Italian nuptials. Now, the website claims Kris isn’t exactly empathetic.
“Kim told her mom that she and Kanye are arguing and Kris said that she better fix it because her career won’t survive another divorce,” a source told the outlet on Monday. “It was kind of a threat. Kim’s career is on top now and she doesn’t want her to screw it up.”
Apparently there are issues of career control within the family, with both Kris and Kanye wanting a piece of the pie. This has seemingly caused a rift between the rapper and his mother-in-law.
“Kanye wanted to take over more of Kim’s career when they got married and he’s started doing that, but Kris won’t allow him to have 100 percent control,” the insider continued. “She wants control and so does he, because he’s thinks of himself as a visionary and feels like he sees things differently than Kris.”
Kim and Kanye married in an extravagant ceremony in Florence on May 24. Together they have one daughter, North West, who is 17 months old. But it is thought all is not well with the wider family.
“Kanye and Kris don’t see eye to eye,” said the source.
In Touch Weekly has also claimed to hear of trouble in paradise. According to the outlet, things are operating more for commercial purposes than for love.
“Kim and Kanye are arguing more than ever,” a source said. “Kim feels like their relationship is more of a business relationship than a real marriage. All they do is talk about business whenever they’re together and it’s stressing Kim out more than it ever has before.”
