Jennifer Garner believes all mothers are thinking about the dangers of technology.

The American actress plays Patricia Beltmeyer in new movie Men, Women & Children, an over protective mom who monitors all of her teenage daughter's online interactions.

While Jennifer admits her children are too young to cause any web worry right now, it's still a subject that niggles at her.

"I'm thinking it anyway. I think we all are. I think technology is changing and kids are learning about it way before grownups are and it's all happening faster than we can keep up with," Jennifer revealed to TV show Good Morning Britain.

Men, Women & Children has an impressive cast, with Adam Sandler, Emma Thompson and Ansel Elgort all featuring.

Jennifer's turn as straight laced Patricia sees her wearing glasses and her hair tied up, something the actress often wanted to shake free of.

"I did feel a little bit like the librarian who underneath is like 'Rrrr' but yeah I always have that urge!" she giggled. "Because I walk around my house all day with glasses in my hair and a bun and I'm like, 'Wait a minute, I've got to let myself go.'"

Jennifer and her husband Ben Affleck are proud parents to daughters Violet, eight, and five-year-old Seraphina and son Samuel, two.

While Jennifer, 42, is yet to navigate online problems, she does say having two movie stars as parents can cause its own problems.

"Of course but it gives them a lot, and it makes things a lot trickier for them at the same time. And it's just about conversation and communication and Ben is so good about breaking things down, and talking about things really normally. But we'll see you know, they're little," she smiled.

A lot of their movies are aimed at an older audience, but both Jennifer and Ben have taken on numerous superhero roles in the past. Ben is gearing up to play Batman in new flick Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which means Samuel will get another action figure of his parents to play with.

"We've got them all. We have a happy little boy," Jennifer grinned.
