Kaley’s movie comedy lesson

Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting says ad-libbing is her “favourite thing to do”.

The Big Bang Theory actress stars alongside Kevin Hart and Josh Gad in upcoming movie The Wedding Ringer.

And the 29-year-old admits in a new interview that working alongside such seasoned comedians helped her expand her own funnywoman skills.

“It’s an open, free set,” Kaley told Collider.com. “There is a lot of ad-libbing, which is my favourite thing to do. Josh and Kevin are so hilarious.”

“You never know what they’re going to say, or what kind of take they’re going to give you, so you have to be ready, every time. It’s been a lesson in comedy. It’s actually been a total blast.”

The Wedding Ringer tells the story of Jimmy, played by Kevin, who runs a company providing best men for grooms who don’t have any friends.

And Kaley also revealed that while The Wedding Ringer is a different project to her CBS series, she still thinks that fans of the show will like the movie.

“It’s funny, it’s big comedy,” Kaley said. “I think a lot of people are going to like this movie, not just Big Bang fans. You’ve got the nerd element, the blond girl element, the wedding element, and Kevin Hart. There are a lot of elements that make this hysterical.”

As well as The Wedding Ringer and The Big Bang Theory, Kaley has also been kept busy shooting several new adverts for Priceline.com, in which Star Trek actor William Shatner plays her father.

Kaley also told Collider that she was thrilled to be given the opportunity to work with William.

“Bill is awesome,” she said. “He’s been doing this forever. He’s very professional. He wants to get in and get out, and do his job. He’s a ton of laughs.”
