Eva Longoria thinks people are still generous in the run-up to Christmas.

The Desperate Housewives actress is honorary chairwoman of The Global Gift Gala and recently attended events in Dubai and London. While December is a busy and expensive month for most people as they prepare for the holidays, Eva doesn't think many suffer from charity fatigue and are still willing to donate.

"No, I never think [that], I don't think there is such a thing [as charity fatigue]," she told Selection magazine. "I think everybody needs to give year round. They need to know what's happening and thank God we have Victoria [Beckham] and myself using our platforms and our voices to do that."

The Global Gift Gala is a non-profit organisation, and hopes to improve the lives of children, women and families. The star’s Eva Longoria Foundation formed The Global Gift Gala initiative along with Dubai Cares and the Sunrise K Foundation.

Her close friend, designer Victoria, is also known for her philanthropic work and has teamed up with the likes of UNICEF, Cancer Research UK and the Elton John AIDS Foundation in the past.

The 39-year-old has been close to the British fashion star for years and the two hit the red carpet in London together for the Gala event earlier this year. Eva has enjoyed spending time with her pal and her family, including goddaughter Harper, three.

"It's just so much fun when we get to spend all that time together because I really miss her [Victoria] when she left LA," she explained. "We were both really bummed."

But despite enjoying her time in the British capital with her friend, Eva won't be spending Christmas itself in the country.

"I'll be in Texas with my family" she confirmed.
