Angelina Jolie reportedly called Brad Pitt “a coward” for not accompanying her to the Critics’ Choice Awards.

The Unbroken director attended the event earlier this month by herself. Also at the ceremony was Brad’s ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, and according to a new report, the 39-year-old let rip at her spouse when she got home.

“Angie called him a coward," an insider told Life & Style. "When he tried to comfort her, she pushed him away and said, 'Don't touch me.'"

The January 15 awards was the first time the actresses had attended the same event since the 2009 Oscars. While their paths didn’t cross, it seems that Brad wasn’t impressed by being targeted once his wife returned home.

“[He] stormed out of the room, put some personal belongings in a bag and took off," the source continued.

The 51-year-old was married to the Cake actress from 2000 to 2005. He wed Angelina last year surrounded by their six children.

But despite the rumours of tension between the newlyweds, Jennifer recently spoke out about her ex-husband and her frustration at the constant reports of animosity between them.

"I think that's slowly coming to an end. I really do," she told ET Online about the alleged rivalry, before praising Angelina’s most recent work on Unbroken. “I mean, that movie is so beautiful and wonderful and she did such a gorgeous job. I think that it's time people stop with that petty B.S. and just start celebrating great work and stop with the petty kind of silliness. It’s just tiresome and old. It's like an old leather shoe. Let's buy a new pair of shiny shoes."
