Amal Clooney reportedly finds being on the red carpet a "shock".

George Clooney tied the knot with his wife in an extravagant ceremony in Venice last September, turning the city into their personal playground. Since then they have stepped out as a married couple frequently; most recently at the 2015 Golden Globes.

George is no stranger to fame having been in the spotlight since the mid-90s, but Amal is apparently struggling with the constant speculation surrounding their relationship.

"This is meant to be a really exciting time for her and George - of course they're adjusting to married life and finding their feet a bit, but it feels like everybody is waiting for them to slip up - and, apparently, split up, too!" a close pal told British magazine Look.

"George is laidback and he feels at home on the red carpet. But for Amal, I think it must be a bit of a shock. Sure, she's done it a few times now, but I know she stills gets nervous. The problem is that when you're worried, it's hard to smile and look happy all the time."

George paid a heart-warming tribute to his wife when he took to the stage at the Globes in January, collecting the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award. He gushed that he "couldn't be prouder" to be her husband. Unfortunately for Amal, she was caught off guard when the camera turned to her chatting to Bill Murray, giving the impression she wasn't listening.

"It's really unfortunate that the cameras panned to Amal at that moment. It was the first time all night when she'd started to relax. And now it's prompted all these rumours.

"No wonder she was snapped looking tense again later that night," the pal sighed.
