Michelle Dockery ‘engaged’

Michelle Dockery is reportedly engaged.

The Downton Abbey star is set to wed boyfriend John Dineen, sources tell British newspaper The Sun.

The insider reveals Michelle has excitedly been showing off her diamond sparkler during a script read through, and can’t hide her joy at the happy news.

“She looked over the moon and was showing it off to all of the cast and crew” the Downton source divulged to the publication.

“It’s wonderful news and everyone is delighted. She and John make a lovely couple.”

Michelle, 33, shot to international fame playing Lady Mary Crawley in the lavish period drama.

She is thought to have started dating John in 2013 after being introduced by her co-star Allen Leech, who plays chauffeur Tom Branson.

“Michelle is happier now than she’s ever been,” the source continued. “She knows that this relationship is for keeps and she is so excited.

Despite being loved up with Irish financial PR John, Michelle isn’t immune from becoming a fangirl when in the presence of A-list stars.

Her role in Downton Abbey means the actress is a regular at awards shows, and she’s previously been nominated for a Golden Globe and three Emmy awards. However it’s seeing other celebrities that gets her most excited.

"Being in the same room as actors that you've watched and loved for years is exciting. Award shows are fun, but they're something I'll never get used to," Michelle previously told British magazine Grazia.

"P. Diddy was at the [Golden] Globes and saw our table and waved. I was like, 'Oh my god! Sean Combs is coming over to say hello!' He was just amazing. Things like that will happened and it's surreal."
