Pregnant Deschanel’s ‘glowing’ love fest

Zooey Deschanel and her beau were reportedly “glowing” with obvious affection at a recent outing.

The 35-year-old actress announced in January she was expecting a baby with fiancé Jacob Pechenik, the couple’s first child.

The pair were spotted dining out at trendy restaurant SunCafe in Studio City, California Tuesday night and although Zooey was able to conceal her baby bump from view, the couple’s affection for each other was glaringly apparent.

"Zooey was glowing and radiant," an alleged eyewitness told E! News, noting the the pair held hands across the table. "They looked so in love."

Their baby is expected to arrive in the summer.

Zooey has previously spoken about how producers for her hit TV comedy, New Girl, responded to the surprise pregnancy.

She noted it was quickly decided her real-life expectancy would not be written into the script for her character Jessica Day.

Instead producers got creative behind-the-scenes, introducing new outfits to her wardrobe. On the premiere episode of New Girl’s current fourth season, Jess covered up in a cumbersome three-piece suit made of sweatsuit material – dubbed a Swuit – that perfectly detracts from her midsection.

“I’m the only one who wears it in the episode. It was really comfortable, and I was pregnant at the time, but I couldn’t tell anybody, so I was happy to be wearing comfortable clothes,” she revealed to People magazine.

Zooey also spoke of how excited she and her partner Jacob, a film producer, are to greet their child in a few months.

“I’m really excited. I’m so excited. I’m just so excited to meet my baby! We’re very excited,” the star beamed during a recent chat with E! News.

Zooey began dating Jacob around the middle of 2014, shortly following the end of her relationship with screenwriter Jamie Linden.
