Olivia Wilde has had "mommy brain" for the past 15 years.

Last April the stunning star gave birth to son Otis, with fiancé Jason Sudeikis. While the tot was her first, 30-year-old Olivia believes she's been in the mindset of a mother since her teens - namely because she's prone to losing things.

"[I misplace] everything, all the time, always. I’ve had mommy brain since I was, like, 15. I don’t understand how every-one keeps their two gloves that match each other or their keys and wallet. I don’t understand it," she laughed to People magazine.

As well as parental duties, Olivia has a flourishing movie career. She has three films currently in production plus thriller The Lazarus Effect, about a group of medical students who discover a way to being the dead back to life, starts hitting cinemas from today.

Her busy schedule doesn't stop her from cooking up a storm in the kitchen though, and she has the perfect food guinea pig in the form of Jason.

"I just made risotto like ten minutes ago. I like to cook, but I also have the easiest audience in the world. My fiancé has no sense of smell – he was born without it – so he thinks everything I cook tastes amazing! It really builds my confidence," she joked.

Becoming a mother has changed Olivia's lifestyle, and these days she shuns A-list parties in favour of time with her family.

This means she's normally up early, getting to see the day break.

"Well, because I have a baby, [the last time I watched a sunrise] was not very long ago! It wasn’t in the drunken haze it used to be," she smiled. "It was maybe a week ago, and I was up early with Otis."
