Renner’s ex-wife ‘just wanted a green card’

Jeremy Renner has claimed his estranged wife only married him “to get a green card”.

The Avengers star is currently in a custody battle with ex Sonni Pacheco over their two-year-old daughter Ava. But things have reportedly turned uglier between the pair with the actor’s legal team filing documents that claim Sonni threatened to release intimate videos of Jeremy if he ever went back on his promise to help her get a green card.

“He claims she repeatedly told their roommate Jeremy should be nice to her and not fight her on the green card or money issues or she'd release the embarrassing videos to TMZ,” the documents said according to TMZ, which clarified that they had never been in touch with the Canadian model.

The Bourne Legacy star married Sonni on January 13 last year. However she filed for divorce in December and the couple have had joint custody of their daughter ever since.

Sonni previously made a number of allegations against her former husband in her bid for full custody including that Jeremy’s home was unsafe for their daughter as his pool was not properly fenced off. This was denied by the actors legal team and in the latest set of documents, they have launched their own attack on her parenting skills. In the papers seen by the outlet, it’s claimed that back in September when Jeremy was on location, Sonni left their child alone in the house for 15 minutes. She allegedly went in an Uber taxi to party and never checked to see if someone was at home to care for Ava.

TMZ has contacted the model’s representatives but has so far had no response to the claims made by Jeremy and his team.
