Kristin Davis is “curious” to watch Sarah Jessica Parker’s new series Divorce.
The 50-year-old actress starred alongside Sarah in hit US TV show Sex and the City, which ran on network HBO from 1998 to 2004.
Now Sarah is preparing to make a return to the channel with her new comedy Divorce and the prospect of her HBO comeback came as a shock to her former co-star Kristin.
"I'm in shock," Kristin told the New York Daily News while speaking at the BTIG Commissions for Charity Day on Tuesday.
"Whatever she wants to do I'm excited for her. I am curious to watch it, I know that entire cast. I am very excited and curious."
The single-camera show is Sarah’s first major TV commitment since Sex and the City ended 11 years ago.
Divorce, which centres on a couple who are embroiled in a ridiculously long separation process, will be filmed in New York City. Sarah portrays a woman named Frances in the programme, who is finding it more difficult than she initially anticipated to embark on a fresh start with her life during the divorce process.
Sarah will be joined by Thomas Haden Church, Molly Shannon and Talia Balsam on the ensemble. Thomas plays her husband Robert, Molly is depicting Frances’ high-strung friend Diane and Talia will be portraying a persona named Dallas, another one of Frances’ pals.
The TV pilot was directed by Jesse Peretz and the series is being written by British writer-and-actress Sharon Horgan. Screenwriter Sharon will be executive producing Divorce under her Merman banner, alongside Parker and Alison Benson of Pretty Matches Productions in addition to Kapital Entertainment’s Paul Simms and Aaron Kaplan.
