Denise Richards: I’m still searching for The One

Denise Richards enjoys having “friends with benefits”.

The 44-year-old actress married Charlie Sheen in 2001 but the pair divorced in 2006. She is now single, but says she is keeping herself entertained while she continues the search for her soulmate.

“I still have friends with benefits until the right one… yeah, I kind of have a lot going on,” Denise said during an interview on US TV show Extra on Wednesday.

Denise and Charlie are parents to daughter Sam, 11, and 10-year-old Lola.

Despite Charlie frequently hitting headlines with his sometimes erratic behaviour, Denise insists he is committed when it comes to his children.

And after several years of practice, Charlie and Denise have conquered the art of co-parenting.

“I always try to keep things as peaceful as possible,” she said.

It was recently claimed that Denise was set to be joining the cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

However, the actress was quick to deny the allegations, and insisted the prospect never even came up.

“I think it was just a rumour, I wasn't even asked… I kinda like watching those shows, and Lisa Rinna is a good friend of mine,” she said. “I like watching her work on it, but yeah, no, I don't know where that came from. I don't think I could show my life on there… that would be a whole other show!”

While she won’t be seen on the small screen anytime soon, she is busy promoting her new YouTube series Vanity.

Describing the programme as a mixture of Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl, Denise said she’s excited to be given the opportunity to star in a series airing on a video-sharing website.

“It's on YouTube, which I think is really exciting since that's the way things are changing in entertainment,” she said. “There are some juicy plots, and I play a very strong character.”
