(Cover) - EN Movies - The Expendables 2 may shoot some scenes in China.
The action sequel is a follow up to the 2010 movie which was directed by Sylvester Stallone.
According to Variety, production company Nu Image/Millennium Films are currently attempting to persuade a Chinese distributor to get involved with the release. It’s been agreed that Chinese actor Donnie Yen will appear if the deal goes through. Both arrangements will apparently make it much easier for the movie to shoot scenes in the country.
Details of The Expendables 2 plotline are being kept under wraps at the moment. It is known that Sylvester won’t be helming the picture though, with Simon West taking the reins this time round.
The original movie was renowned for its stellar line-up and the sequel promises to be just as impressive. Sylvester will appear again, with Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Jean-Claude Van Damme, John Travolta, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture also taking part.
Chuck Norris and Arnold Schwarzenegger aren’t confirmed at the moment, but it’s rumoured they will be appearing too.
The movie will begin shooting in October and is due for release on August 17 2012.
The original movie made $102 million in America and a further $170 million in the rest of the world.
