Following a drug bust, undercover cop David shots dead a teenage latino kid while chasing a suspect. Mike his partner sets about covering up the crime and making it look like self defense. No one can work out the facts of the case, so Police IA investigator Jessica steps into the frame to help find the truth. We have corrupt cops, a police chief scared of dirt, lawyers that refuse to see faults in clients and of course the mother of the boy, broken and alone. Many blame her son for his own shooting and see it as justified homicide. The real truth however will always escape and facts that are covered will be destroyed by the revealing reality.

Its far from me to say it but this is likely to be a sour note in the careers of all here. The film is like a well shot but poorly scripted episode of CSI or some crime show. Visually the film is slick and I really loved the panning shots and tracking shots that work so well in building tension. It sticks to a handheld feel and this puts a note of truth to the actions and the performances. Sadly however the story disappoints completely. Even with the addition of violence and sex, it still takes what could have been a very topical story of race and Police brutality and makes it Blah...

I don't blame the director, He actually is very gifted in his style and with a bigger budget and better story will be a force to remember. The cast have all been in far better and this will hopefully get viewers to watch other works they have populated. If it was me I would say watch it but do not expect a stand out piece of film, more a (in places) stunning looking, well acted, pilot for a series that wont be commissioned because they chose the wrong script.
