When Insurance agent Mike Davies is send to investigate a night club fire at a local hot spot, he thinks he can work it out in 5 minutes. The club is owned by a Harry Drayson, who is insured for millions. This seems as likely a reason as any to have the club and him burnt to a cinder. When however he meets Harry, Mike starts to look at things differently. It seems unlikely to have been an inside job and so now he has to change his ideas and solve this puzzle before anyone else is hurt.

I have very little of value to say on this film. It is not dire but is weakly scripted and slight in content. The film plods for its 58 minutes and this is a crime. Made to open and so fill time in a double feature, this is a hard film to see as justifying release. It is more than likely released because of it being Michael Winners first scripted film and little more than that. Even Winner I feel would have laughed at this. He often wrote films simply to order and was honest about their individual merits. He has sadly passed on but we should take note at what he said often. A film is as good as it need be and these fillers that would have been shown during the 50s cinema heyday, are or were poor quality. Do not expect War and Peace and I would say spend your money wisely.
