I know naff all about Bollywood. I've never indulged myself in the culture, and to be honest I’ve never sat and listened to anything like this before. I’ve probably heard bits and pieces, but it’s always been on a 'just passing’ basis and never on 'sit down and listen’ terms. Honestly though, it’s turned out to be a bit of an eye opener.

Despite my previous frame of mind falling into the category of 'it probably won’t be for me’, it took just a couple of listens to realise how accessible this track is. It’s expertly put together, and within the first minute or so you’ll find yourself drawn into a world of beautiful vocals and excellent musicianship. The track is built around so many instruments it’s difficult to pin them all down; there’s numerous types of drums, string instruments that I’ve never heard before and vocals all over the shop, each as wonderful as the other. It’s a song that can evoke a feeling of happiness and excitement in even the most dull and depressing of characters.

Sajdaa can be heard on the soundtrack for new Fox film 'My name is Khan’, and while I have no idea how good the film will be, rest assured the soundtrack is set to be a bright and vibrant glimpse into what sounds like a much funner world than I reside in.
