The ongoing legal series that has at its core, the idea that truth and justice are flexible and can be saved by a great legal team. In this season Mike is now a Banker and in a relationship with the gorgeous Rachel. Harvey is still head honcho and wants to grow even bigger. But when it is all going so well he has to go to war with his prodigy. Rachel also has a secret and it will come out at the worst possible time. Louis has been naughty in the firms dealings and his secret with come out also at the worst time, causing damage across the board and maybe even leading to the end of the firm?
I like Suits in the way a kid likes ice creams in the summer. The sun comes out, shades come on and cool is in town for a few months. You want to look cool and stay cool and so you eat the ice cream and wear the shades. What you also do is watch a show that is easy to watch and can be put on at anytime. GOT to heavy, MM so over. Suits it is! You see for me the first season was excellent but predictable. Then the second season came along and undid some of the good but added a few layers and shocks that were well needed. Season three flew by with murmurs of ideas and a great cliff hanger that kept you there. So to season Four and the gloves are off and the thought are with the families. Finally you have the series you wanted and the expectations are fulfilled.
Story lines and Casting are key to most of this fulfillment and I don't want to give anything away except to say that the ongoing battle between Harvey and Mike is actually quite fun. Both actors are great and the reversal of fortunes feels like a David vs Goliath fight that is so well done as a script that it doesn't fall and end up being funny because everyone is verbose or irrational. This has happened slightly before but now it shines and does so with a degree of intuition about audience expectation and demand. The immediacy of the episode has become almost palpable and the constant narrative drive is brilliantly executed by cool as characters and actors.
