Nicholas is an engineer working on a group of rural Indian wind turbines. His Indian wife is staying with her family in Mumbai and she has just found out that she is pregnant. This might be great news at any other time of the year but not as a zombie infection has just spawned. The problem now is that Nicholas has to find her and escape from this hell before either he or her become a zombie. He is helped in this by a young slum dweller that has lost everything and wants to survive...

Cutting to the chase is easier said than done with films like this. I have not seen the original film but know of it via the press and more so friends statements about the series. This film has a very clear, simple set up and execution. It has blood spurts, staggering zombies and exotic locations all thrown in to a very tame but serviceable script. The pace of the script is very energetic and moves like a sprinter once it gets going. The direction is concise and works well, The framing creates some very interesting shots that will be explored later by film fans. The Ford brothers are not overly forceful in their film making and have an approach that works. They dont demand much from the cast who are all good. Meenu is pretty, realistic and slight enough to be convincing. Joseph is action hero material and copes well with the pace and moves. Anand Krishna Goyal is great fun and though young has some engagement.

The problem with the film is that in the end it is throw away and leaves you without a real reason for watching or watching again. It has the arcs, the acts and the structure of a safe Hollywood film but feels like it is empty and uneven. I would not watch it again and would tell anyone that wanted to watch it, that the film is not going to give you anything you have seen or heard before. The reality is that people like sometimes film that do this and that the market needs a little fat in it. All is well that ends well I guess but I will not be returning.....I will go to India again and would suggest that the reader does this instead...
