Not noted for offering the most entertaining or challenging games, The Simpsons Arcade is a surprisingly fun game created by EA for the iPhone. Taking on the role of Homer, you play across 6 different levels (Despite the claim of 25+ on the iTunes description) battling to retrieve a donut from the grasp of Mayor Quimby.

The games graphics are surprisingly good, hell even on an iPhone 3 the graphics still exceed the likes of Playstation 2. The game might be on the short side, but fans will enjoy the cameos from fringe characters including Sideshow Bob, Chief Wiggum & more who act as bosses at the end of each mini level. The gameplay is simplistic, a case of button bashing to wade through the many foes up until you reach a boss.

You can call on the help from the rest of the Simpsons when you’re overrun with foes too; they add a nice dimension to the fighting and break up the button bashing. Still, the game is enjoyable enough and it proves value for money unlike so many other Simpsons titles e.g. Simpsons Wrestling and Hit & Run (Although Road Rage was a half decent rip-off of Crazy Taxi).

On the whole, the game is a nice little bargain. You can pick this up for just 69p from the iTunes store at the moment and there is even a download of the first mini level for free. iPhone games fans will get a nice few hours gameplay from this, well worth a look!
