When a group of ill adjusted people are caught up in the end of the world mayhem of a zombie apocalypse, they do the only thing they can stick to a solider and let him lead them to safety. Sadly said solider is a major and an idiot to boot. He is accompanied by a psycho private and a doctor who is thought to have started this mess. Okay that would all be fine except they seem to have stumbled across a zombie with miraculous powers. Ever zombie he touch's turns back to a living person, if only for a few seconds.... Is this the zombie Jesus or is this something else?

To begin, I want to give a massive shout to the films directors. They have build a beautiful looking film, crafted with a keen eye for simple compositions that look good. This is very hard for film makers to do, they often are either over confident and go too hard or are intimidated and shy away. These film makers should be commended for their ambition. I liked the premise of the film very much. Was it going to be a parody of religion or a film talking about the blunders of over reliance on science. I also wondered how a British film would handle the genre so trodden by American and other film industries. I also liked the gore scenes, blood splatter and the grim amputations. The film is funny and has great satire in its references to genre. The performances are excessive but this is quite expected of the film and genre and is a part of the satire.

In my vast viewing experience that has covered many film genres, sub genres, high art and low brow. A single problem has always come about with a film based on a single superb premise. The fail to pay off, the set up is there and the film fails to pay it back to us. This film does this in the sense that it goes no where. Just carnage. Fun as it was this leaves you a bit deflated. It goes along the well trodden lines and the intrepid viewer among you know that as TREEHOUSE proved, you can take the genre somewhere new and interesting. This is not to say that it is not worth a look. Please watch it...for the love of Jesus!
