Lindsay Lohan prepares for Taylor role

(Cover) - EN Movies - Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been reaching out to Dame Elizabeth Taylor’s ex-husbands to prepare for her portrayal of the late star.

The actress is due to begin filming Liz and Dick, a biopic of the screen legend, today.

Lindsay has been talking to people who knew the icon well including hairdresser Jose Eber and two ex-husbands – Larry Fortensky and former senator John Warner, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The Mean Girls star is also trying to look the part. She has been dressing just like the star when she was a young actress.

The 25-year-old has been watching footage of Elizabeth in several interviews and appearances to capture the tone of her voice.

Lindsay is under pressure to perform well following her legal troubles and a well-publicised battle with drugs and alcohol.

She recently had to defend herself after Rosie O’Donnell claimed she wasn’t fit to play Elizabeth.

However, Nancy Dubuc, President and General Manager of Lifetime Networks, says she convinced the network she is the right person for the job.

“What she said just embodied the story of Liz and Dick, and really you could see in her heart and in her mind that she wanted this and that she wanted a chance to do it,” she told Access Hollywood. “Obviously, audiences love her and… she’s clearly going to drive a lot of viewers to this movie and so, of course, we want to be able to give her that platform and we’re thrilled that we can.”
