Andrew Garfield denies producers’ offers

(Cover) - EN Movies - Andrew Garfield feels uneasy about producers simply handing him movie roles.

The 28-year old British actor stars in The Amazing Spider-Man where he plays the title character.

Andrew isn’t keen on helping producers make movies swiftly and he won’t compromise his integrity on the matter.

“It seems flattering but it isn’t,” he revealed to Radio Times Magazine. “It’s like: ‘Are you kidding me? I can’t actually play a 50-year old black male prostitute.’ ”

“I wasn’t offered that, by the way,” he added after a pause.

Andrew admits he’s often quite cynical about being offered parts in movies.

“It’s scary, being treated so nicely. Maybe it’s seductive if you believe in it. I don’t. I see it for what it is,” he explained.

The actor has portrayed self-conscious characters in several films, which reflects his own personality.

On numerous occasions he has declined to comment on his relationship with his co-star Emma Stone while promoting the superhero flick.

Even as a teenager, the actor confessed he was quite shy and awkward.

“I was erratic,” he said. “Certain days would be great, I’d have everything figured out. Other days, I wouldn’t.”
