(Cover) - EN Movies - Liam Neeson “had to be convinced” to reprise his role in Taken 2.
The actor is returning as Bryan Mills in the upcoming action thriller Taken 2, directed by Colombiana helmer Olivier Megaton. In the first 2008 movie, Bryan hunted for his kidnapped daughter, but this time he is taken hostage.
Liam was not prepared to join the cast of the sequel if the script wasn’t excellent.
"It had to be good and I had to be convinced that it was a story that would work, especially after the success of the first one," he told ET Online.
"We were quite amazed when it became a big success."
Liam had a blast performing stunts and fight scenes while filming.
The thespian is incredibly impressed by Taken 2’s action sequences.
"It's a chance to get back with these wonderful stunt guys again and do these fantastic fights and get to run quite a bit -- which is not as exciting -- but the fighting is, and that's always fun to do," Liam said.
Taken 2 will be released in US theatres October 5.
