Jim Carrey: Wilde is so talented

Jim Carrey has praised Olivia Wilde for being so “talented and beautiful”.

The actor stars alongside the gorgeous brunette in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, where he plays an eccentric magician.

Jim is in talks to reprise his role in iconic comedy Dumb & Dumber for a sequel and wouldn’t rule out an appearance from Olivia.

“Oh yeah' You’re doing the casting for me now are ya!” he joked when Access Hollywood asked him about the possibility.

“Well, everybody should show up for this then. You never know, they could be in the movie. [Olivia is] wonderful though. She’s an amazing girl. It’s very rare when you see somebody who’s so talented and so beautiful with the heart of a homely girl.”

The original movie also starred Jeff Daniels and followed the capers of two unintelligent young men.

Jim, 51, is looking forward to being reunited with his co-star if the film goes ahead.

“We’re talking about it,” he explained.

“Jeff and I are really excited about it and hopefully next year we’ll be able to do that [and] get it together.”

For his role in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, Jim had to tone up.

He is relieved filming is over and he can resume a normal diet and exercise regime.

“I’ve never taken off my shirt in a movie before. I figured that was Matthew McConaughey’s thing,” he quipped recently.

“Now I’m doing it, and the diet required to do it is not a natural place to live in. It’s also not natural to live in that kind of shape. Sure, it looks great on screen. It’s fantastic and it gets you a lot of attention. But the truth is you have to eat anti-matter to be in that shape, and that’s not a happy place to be in.”
