(Cover) - EN Movies - The Hangover director Todd Phillips reveals Lindsay Lohan "loved the script."

Also starring Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha and Zach Galifianakis, the movie about a bachelor party that goes horribly wrong is the most successful R-rated comedy franchise of all time.

On the eve of the release of The Hangover Part III, Todd and the cast have now dished on the secrets behind the first film.

"I did meet with Lindsay Lohan a little bit [before casting Heather Graham], and we talked," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "Honestly, it felt like she ended up being too young for what we were talking about. People love to attack her for everything, like, 'Ha, she didn't see how great The Hangover was going to be. She turned it down.' She didn't turn it down. She loved the script, actually. It really was an age thing."

Originally entitled What Happens in Vegas, the film's script was extensively reworked by Todd. The franchise’s star, Bradley, reveals there wasn't a baby, tiger or Mr. Chow in the original version.

"The characters were different in the original script," said Bradley. "I was a used-car salesman. There wasn't a Mr. Chow. I mean, Todd created everything."

Todd devised some of the film's most iconic scenes while brainstorming with co-writer Jeremy Garelick. They simply thought of the most insane things that could possibly happen on a bachelor party in Las Vegas.

"We kind of went backward, like, what would be the craziest thing you could wake up to? A tiger? Well, why would a tiger be there? Siegfried & Roy? Nah, that feels typical," he said. "Oh, you know what's funny? Mike Tyson. I once read he has tigers. They stole it from Mike Tyson."

The cast ran into the former boxer in a club before they started shooting the film. Mike was shocked when he was approached by the crew.

"They said, 'We're going to be shooting a movie with you in two weeks.' I didn't even know. I said, 'Really?!' and I started drinking with them. I was a little wasted at the time. I still didn't understand the movie until like a week and a half later, when I was on set with these guys," Tyson said.

The Hangover Part III hits cinemas this month.
