Demi Lovato wants to have a brood of her own by the age of 25.
The singer expressed her desire to start a family as she spoke about her achievements in life so far.
The 20-year-old admitted she intends on settling down as soon as she has achieved certain professional aspirations.
"I hope I'm a mum in five years," she told Live From MTV. "Well, I've been working since I was eight-years-old, and my first audition was when I was five, and I started modelling when I was five, so I've been working so hard my whole life.
“At the end of the day, yes, I want to be a musician and I have a lot of goals, but my biggest goal in life is having a family."
Demi has just released her fourth album in six years. She has headlined five concert tours and is set to return for her second season as a judge on US The X Factor this autumn.
She would like to step away from the spotlight for a while eventually, but for now she is intent on making music.
"I think I want to focus really, really hard on music for a couple years and I want to take advantage of all the momentum,” she confessed. “I want to not let any opportunities slip past me.
"But then I want to go on a break and I think on that break... and maybe who knows, maybe I don't have a family and maybe I just travel the world and do all charity stuff, which would be so cool or I have a family, but that's basically...I just want to be a wifey with babies."
