Gina Carano danced after landing movie role

(Cover) - EN Movies - Gina Carano did a "dorky child dance" when she heard about her latest movie role.

The actress stars as Riley alongside Vin Diesel and Jason Statham in action movie Fast & Furious 6.

Gina was elated when she found out she'd scored the part.

"Yeah, when I got that call I was just in LA in an apartment. To get any job is good but to be part of such a big franchise, I was just like, 'Thank you, thank you,' dancing around my apartment alone," she smiled to Crave Online.

"[My dancing] depends on what kind of call it is and that was a jumping, really dorky child dance."

The 31-year-old is a former mixed martial artist and relishes any film opportunity that requires physical strength.

Since appearing in Steven Soderbergh's 2011 thriller Haywire, Gina has focused on the dieting and training an acting career requires.

"Yeah, when I did Haywire I kind of got immersed into how Hollywood does things. Diet is always extremely important but I think the older I get, the more mature I become, I’m a late bloomer so I feel like I’m really growing into my confidence and my body in a way that it’s a lot easier for me to control myself and have the desire to know that I need to train just to keep myself feeling good," she explained.

"In the acting world and Hollywood, it’s more about internal. You have to learn how to let go of that extra muscle and that weight and supplement it with strength inside."

Fast & Furious 6 is released worldwide this month.
