Sophie Turner has revealed she is sick of throwing parties every time one of her Game of Thrones co-stars dies on the show.

The British actress, who plays Sansa Stark on the HBO fantasy drama series, explained once a character on the show is killed off, the rest of the cast throw a 'death party' for them.

"I get upset with every death," the 20-year-old told Entertainment Tonight at Comic-Con in San Diego, California. "But now it's become kind of like the normal thing, that we can no longer have the death parties for (castmembers whose characters are killed off) because otherwise we're spending too much money now buying people drinks.

"You know, it's like everyone dies. It's like, 'Listen, I'm too tired. We've been out every night this week celebrating your last night on Thrones, so..."

After six seasons of the show, based on George R.R. Martin's books, surviving members have become very close, and Sophie confessed she and her co-stars even took to drinking to calm their nerves before their appearance at Comic-Con on Friday (22Jul16).

"We did a few vodka shots before. I don't remember much of the panel," she joked. "It was a good laugh, but it's always quite nervewracking, so we always have to have a few (shots) to calm our nerves."

Sophie's on-screen sister, fellow British actress Maisie Williams, recently revealed she might be getting her own 'death party' sooner than expected after the first read-through of season seven took place.

"At the end of the read-through this season, I sat there thinking, 'God, they are setting up for the end,'" Maisie said. "Every season we have been looking up to the next season, and now it feels like we are looking back down and are coming down to the end."

Game of Thrones is due to return to TV screens in summer 2017. The series will end after season eight.
