Set in the not so distant future Sam Bell (Rockwell) spends his days working and living on a lunar base mining the lucrative commodity of Helium-3, a new proposed energy source for earth. Sam's 3 year stint on the base is about to come to an end, until, when exploring a routine problem with one of the mining machines Sam becomes involved in an life threatening accident.

Upon waking up back in his lunar base Sam is confronted by a younger version of himself who claims to be there to fulfill his own 3 year stint. Is Sam going crazy through solitary confinement or is there more than meets the eye in the beautifully crafted sci-fi thriller?

The debut directorial by Duncan Jones (son of David Bowie), Moon challenges your thoughts on human life and complete solitude. The movie only being created for a seemingly small fee in Hollywood standards ($5m) looks visually stunning and the acting ability of Rockwell brings to life a man completely living on the edge of his own sanity. This is a must see movie and througly deserves the accolades given to it by the powers that be.
