Available on DVD and Digital HD from 10th September, 2018

The notorious words ‘Weapons of Mass Destruction’ dominated political discourse in 2003, as America teetered on the edge of a catastrophic war with Iraq. SHOCK AND AWE is the captivating true story of how these words were twisted to shocking effect, and is available on DVD and Digital HD from 10th September 2018, courtesy of Signature Entertainment.

In a post-9/11 political landscape, a group of journalists working for the Knight Ridder media company, covering George Bush's planned invasion of Iraq in 2003, are sceptical of the president’s claim that Saddam Hussein has ‘Weapons of Mass Destruction’. Journalists Jonathan Landay (Woody Harrelson) and Warren Strobel (James Marsden) decide to play a risky game by questioning the true nature of the White House's justification for the conflict. SHOCK AND AWE depicts their race to unveil the truth, to change the course of history, in order to prevent another war.

Directed by Academy Award® nominee Rob Reiner (Stand By Me; A Few Good Men) and with an all-star cast including Woody Harrelson (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri), Tommy Lee Jones (No Country for Old Men) and James Marsden (X-Men; TVs Westworld), SHOCK AND AWE is a tense political thriller based on true events.

With a stellar cast, an award-winning director and a topical message, SHOCK AND AWE offers a nail-biting insight into how words can be manipulated - with disastrous consequences.
