Barrymore asks Spielberg for paparazzi tips

Drew Barrymore asks her godfather Steven Spielberg for advice on how to handle the paparazzi following the birth of her daughter Olive.

The 37-year-old actress and her art consultant husband Will Kopelman welcomed their first child last September.

During an appearance on TV show The View, Drew admitted she is concerned about protecting Olive from the spotlight and asks the director for help.  

“I talk to my godfather Steven Spielberg; I seek advice from him,” she shared.

"I’ve been crying for two months about having to take my daughter outside into this very tumultuous world that has no protection for people.”

The actress, who found fame as a child star, said she supports measures that would ban paparazzi from photographing children.

“I agree with other countries when they won't allow the kids to be photographed,” she added.

“There has to be a limit and we teach our children boundaries, and yet the world doesn't have any boundaries to our children and that is an anomaly that I do not support."
