Eva Longoria is planning a "couple's war weekend" to celebrate Valentine's Day with her fiance Jose Antonio Baston.

The 40-year-old actress got engaged to her businessman beau at the end of 2015. However, gearing up for their first romantic holiday as a betrothed couple, Eva doesn't really have hearts and roses on her mind, instead planning to make it a competitive occasion.

"We always have a Valentine's Day weekend - a couple's war weekend," she told People. "So we invite a lot of couple friends of ours and we have this insane competition of like minute-to-win-it games. It's a fun weekend but it's definitely a competitive weekend."

While their engagement is still in its fledgling state, Eva has yet to think about firm plans for the nuptials.

One thing she's sure about, however, is that the ceremony will be without "any pomp and circumstance" as the pair have both done it before - Eva was married to Tyler Christopher from 2002 to 2004 and Tony Parker from 2007 to 2011.

"(There's) no theme or location. No guest list. You know, I guess I keep advocating for eloping," Eva admitted.

"I think we're going to do something really, really simple. We've both been married before, so there's not going to be a lot of pomp and circumstance."

Desperate Housewives star Eva previously revealed that she's not desperate to start a family with Jose. She will become stepmother to her beau’s three children, and is happy with that.

“I don’t feel like we are lacking because we don’t have a baby,” she shrugged to Britain’s Closer magazine. “We are fulfilled. If there is anything else to come, it would be the icing on the cake.”

It may come as a surprise to some that Eva is marrying Jose, as after first meeting in 2013 the brunette beauty admitted there was no spark. Six months after being introduced by a mutual friend, Eva recalled she felt “angels singing” and romance quickly blossomed.
