Alyssa Milano's life began when she welcomed her son Milo into the world.

The 43-year-old actress has two children with husband David Bugliari - four-year-old Milo and 17-month-old Elizabella. While Alyssa had a lengthy and varied career before becoming a mother, it was parenthood that gave her a new zest for life.

"I was like, 'Oh, this is it! This is what life is,' " Alyssa told Entertainment Tonight of having her son. "Even though I had a really full beautiful life beforehand, my life really began the day he was born."

Since having her little boy, Alyssa's professional life has gone from strength to strength. She has found huge success with her women's branded sports apparel line, Touch, and currently hosts hit television show Project Runway: All Stars.

Alyssa added that it was becoming a mother that encouraged her to push herself to achieve her work life dreams.

"(Motherhood) does put everything else in perspective in a powerful way, and gives you the confidence to do other things," she explained. "You almost become, even though you may not be focusing on your career, you become more confident all around so you're able to take more risks in your career."

One thing her fans continuously ask Alyssa for is a reunion of her much-loved show Charmed. She starred as Phoebe Halliwell in the series, which told the story of three witch sisters, and said she would definitely be up for a new series.

"We are all open for it!" Alyssa said. "It seems like that's going to happen any second. I just feel like with all these reunions, and we still have such a cult following, that I feel like someone's going to put that together at some point, and we're all totally on board for that!"

Charmed ran from 1998 to 2006. It initially starred Alyssa, Shannen Doherty and Holly Marie Combs as the three sisters, before Rose McGowan stepped in to replace Shannen when she was killed off in the programme in 2001.
