Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson have given fans a first glimpse of their upcoming Jumanji film.

The Central Intelligence stars have teamed up once again for the revamp of the beloved 1995 film, and on Monday (19Sep16), they began production in Honolulu, Hawaii, along with co-stars Karen Gillan and Jack Black.

On Tuesday (20Sep16), both Hart and Johnson took to social media to post a photo from their first day of filming, in which the three men are clad in safari gear, while Doctor Who alum Gillan dons a crop top shirt, shorts, and knee high boots.

"Day 1 of shooting 'Jumanji' is officially in the can," Hart wrote. "We had a amazing first day. The chemistry & energy of our cast & crew was beyond amazing!!!! This movie is going to be dope as hell... Can't wait to get back to work tomorrow @therock @karengillanofficial & jack black!!"

Johnson shared the same snap and revealed their characters' names - Hart will play as Moose Finbar, Black Professor Shelly Oberon, Gillan as Ruby Roundhouse, and Johnson as Dr. Smolder Bravestone.

The action star added, "Hard workin' and FUN first day of shooting in the jungle with this talented and crazy motley crew. Jack is brilliant, Karen is bad assery, Kevin is sharply hilarious and I smell good. Extremely hard trying to keep a straight face in these scenes. Too funny. We're makin' a good one."

It was also announced on Tuesday that Footloose remake actor Ser’Darius Blain and newcomer Madison Iseman are also joining the Jumanji cast.

Jumanji, about a boy who becomes trapped in a magical board game, starred Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst and Bradley Pierce. The new version is slated to hit cinemas in July, 2017.
