Zoe Kravitz and Eddie Redmayne had to “guess” their way through their chemistry read for the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel, as they had no script.

The Max Mad: Fury Road star only had a small cameo as Leta Lestrange in 2016’s movie, appearing in a photograph kept by Eddie’s Newt Scamander. However her role is a lot more prominent in the upcoming follow-up flick, though she remains completely in the dark as to what the story is about.

“I know nothing! I have an idea, based off of when I auditioned, but I know nothing,” she admitted to Collider. “Even when I went to go do my chemistry read with Eddie, he was trying to help me piece together what was happening in the scene that we were reading. He doesn’t get to see anything either, so he was like, ‘I think based off of this line and this line, and what we shot here and here, this is what’s going on.’ We had to guess. It was funny to watch him, trying to piece it all together.”

Leta is a relative of evil witch Bellatrix Lestrange, played by actress Helena Bonham Carter in the Harry Potter movies. Zoe hints Leta and Newt have a lot to address in the upcoming movie and promises fans are in for a treat while watching the characters on their adventures.

“The relationship between Leta and Newt Scamander is a complex relationship, so I think there will be a lot of time for that to grow and develop, which will be fun,” she teased.

Production begins this summer (17) and despite having few details on the plot of this instalment, the Dope actress was desperate to once again work with director David Yates and author J. K. Rowling, who penned the first screenplay.

Before the second Fantastic Beasts movie hits cinemas in 2018 fans can see Zoe in an array of projects, including TV series Big Little Lies and movie Rock That Body.
