George Clooney says selling ladies shoes is the worst job he’s had – because women are “crazy” about their feet.
The actor shot to fame in his role as Dr. Douglas Ross on US TV show ER before attracting a wealth of lead roles on the big screen.
George explained however that he has done a fair share of not-so-desirable work beforehand.
Speaking on NBC show Rock Center with Brian Williams, he admitted that selling women’s footwear was not his favourite profession – because female customers can be very particular about their shoes.
“I grew up doing some really c***py jobs,” he said in the interview. “I sold ladies shoes and I know it doesn’t sound tough but women are crazy with their feet.”
George is one of the film industry’s most popular leading men, and has also branched out into a successful career as a director and screenwriter.
However, the star said that he still goes to an office on a regular basis despite his glamorous career. He admitted that he still puts in the hours behind the desk and fetches his own beverages.
“Yes, I have an office,” he told Brian. “I get my own coffee.”
