Alec Baldwin believes he will have more children if it’s “meant to be”.

The 57-year-old actor is father to 19-year-old model daughter Ireland with ex Kim Basinger, and two-year-old Carmen and three-month-old Rafael with wife Hilaria Baldwin.

And while Alec revealed earlier this week that he’s “dying to have another child”, he admits that growing up with five siblings himself is not entirely encouraging him to have a large brood.

"Coming from my big family doesn't necessarily mean I want to have a big family," Alec told People.

"They were a little maddening at times, my brothers.”

Alec is one sixth of the famous Baldwin dynasty, with his brothers Stephen, Daniel and William also known for their acting work.
But when it comes to his own clan, Alec insists he isn’t pushing himself to hit a certain baby “headcount”.

"When a baby shows up that person was meant to be here. And if there is one more meant to be here, or two more meant to be here, so be it," he said.

Alec was speaking as he hosted the advertising and design world’s Clio Awards on Wednesday night (30Sep15) at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.

"And hopefully I can book a lot of commercials while I'm here today to pay for those children," Alec joked with People.
Hilaria and Alec welcomed Rafael into the world on 17 June (15).

Following his birth, Hilaria admitted that her son is vastly different to her two-year-old daughter.

While Carmen has developed a feisty personality, Rafael arrived in the family with a serene demeanour and is already basking in the attention of his parents.

"Rafael is very calm. I can change him as many times as I want. He’s a little poser - he puts his hands behind his head and stretches out. Carmen has a fiery personality and this little guy is like, 'I’ll do whatever you want me to do, Mom!'" a proud Hilaria grinned in an interview with MailOnline.
