Alicia Vikander feels uncomfortable being labelled determined.

The Swedish actress is enjoying a career high after landing parts in movies such as Ex Machina, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and The Danish Girl.

Breaking into Hollywood is the result of a lot of hard work, but it's not something Alicia necessarily wants to be known for.

“Part of me likes the word [determined]; part of me feels uncomfortable when I hear it. I feel very aware that I’ve had to be tough to get to where I am," she explained to The Edit. "I’ve been trying to do good work in a language that isn’t my own. I guess that does make me determined, but it’s in my nature to want to do the best that I can. It also makes me feel safe, in a funny way, if I’m working hard; less lonely, somehow.”

Her star status has also benefited her love life and the 26-year-old is currently dating German-Irish hunk Michael Fassbender, 38. She remains coy about their relationship, explaining that while she knows being a celebrity comes with her job, she has no interest in divulging personal details. Luckily she's had some moral support along the way.

"I've spoken to a lot of actors who have taught me that it is a choice. I believe that staying private is something you can choose, and it is certainly the choice I'm making," she noted.

One thing Alicia is happy to speak out about is her worries in life. Despite having stage actress Maria Fahl as her mother and a knack for performing, the brunette beauty always fears her fame is fleeting.

"I suffer from a constant anxiety that what's happening to me isn't going to last forever," she sighed. "It's a tough industry. Really tough. And I'm constantly preparing myself for it to go wrong."
