Anne Hathaway on Fifty Shades rumours

(Cover) - EN Movies - Anne Hathaway has addressed rumours linking her to the upcoming film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.

The actress has established a reputation for playing sexy characters after her performance as Selina Kyle/Catwoman in the upcoming movie The Dark Knight Rises.

Movie bosses have reportedly set their sights on Anne to play naïve student Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey, alongside rumoured leading male Ryan Gosling.

Anne did not confirm or deny the possibility she is being lined up for the role.

“It’s funny,” laughed the star. “I haven’t read the book so I couldn’t tell you in any educated away about whether I could play it or not.”

Although she was surprised to discover she has been linked to a big screen adaptation of the racy novel, she didn’t rule out one day reading it herself to find out whether she would be suitable.

“No one has talked to me about it yet!” exclaimed Anne when grilled by Australian radio show hosts Kyle and Jackie O.

However, she was adamant that she wouldn’t like anyone to read it to her, describing doing so as “creepy”.

Other stars linked to the role of Anastasia include Selena Gomez, Lily Collins, Nina Dobrev and Kristen Stewart.
