Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have reportedly put their divorce proceedings on hold.

The Hollywood couple announced in June (15) that they'd split, after 10 years of marriage. The news ended months of speculation surrounding the state of their relationship.

Since then they've put on a united front, with sources close to the pair revealing the couple's three children, Violet, Seraphina and Sam, are their top priority. Now it appears their amicable split has led to a delay in signing divorce papers.

"It seems both Ben and Jen have decided that, for the time being, it's unnecessary for them to enter what could potentially be a messy and lengthy divorce battle," an insider told Britain's Grazia magazine.

Sources say this decision partly comes down to the fact the pair are still living together. "Because they're in therapy they are still living together as friends, to avoid more upheaval for the family," the insider noted.

Following the breakdown of their marriage, it was reported the family's nanny Christine Ouzounian was the main reason for the split. While Ben's representative slammed the infidelity rumours as "full of lies", Ben was pictured holding a bottle of champagne with Christine outside his rented house.

Ben and Jennifer have continued to support each other throughout, with the family unit even relocating to Atlanta when Jennifer filmed movie Miracles from Heaven there. There are also reports they'll all spend the holiday season together.

"They are getting on so much better than they were at that time," the insider said.
