Britney Spears debuts will.i.am video

Britney Spears and will.i.am debuted their music promo on Wednesday evening.

The pop star marked her return to the charts with Scream & Shout, her first new single in over a year. A section of the futuristic video was premiered on the US X Factor, before the full clip appeared online shortly afterwards.

In the glamorous gold and black dominated promo, Britney sports Bridgette Bardot-style hair and bares her midriff in a sexy bodycon dress, and later in the clip a corseted leotard complete with feather detail.

Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am is covered in chunky jewellery, with his signature oversized glasses and a military-style zipped baseball cap.

The fast-paced promo is well suited to the club tune, as Britney is joined by a troupe of dancers for an uptempo sequence.

There is also an exploding Lamborghini, burning disco balls and a gun which shoots confetti.

will.i.am was thrilled to see the video get its release and is hugely proud of his latest musical offering.

"Wow!!! I feel so excited and full of energy right now!!! I want to #screamANDshout," he tweeted on Wednesday. "Thank you all. (sic)"

X Factor host Khloé Kardashian was quick to ask Britney how she was feeling following its premiere on the show where she is a member of the judging panel.

“He's like a big kid to work with," she smiled. "He's so much fun. We had a lot of fun."

Earlier this month, the song was leaked and Britney made it clear to fans that she wasn’t happy.

"Can't say I'm thrilled our song leaked," she tweeted on November 18. "But…I AM super excited that my fans seem to love it as much as @iamwill and I do (sic)."

Scream & Shout is set to appear on will.i.am’s new solo album #willpower, which will be released in early 2013.
